Membership
All members receive a subscription
to the monthly newsletter, an open invitation to MiTiN business
meetings and networking events, and access to ATA accreditation
exams proctored by MiTiN. Professional members receive a listing
in the printed MiTiN Professional Members Directory and a
listing on the MiTiN website.
You can become a member of MiTiN, either on
line or by printing and filling out a membership
application form.
To become a member on line, click on the Online button, submit
the form electronically and mail your check to the MiTiN Treasurer
at the address shown on the electronic form. Your application
will not be processed until the treasurer has received your
check.
To become a member by U.S. mail click on the Print button
to download the PDF form (you will need Acrobat
4 or higher for this), fill it out and mail it together with
your check to MiTiN Treasurer at the address shown on the
form.

Membership Categories
MiTiN has two categories of membership.
Professional individual member ($40 annual dues),
defined as an individual who supports the purposes of MiTiN
and earns income based on language skill on a full-time or
part-time basis, as a freelance or an employed linguist. Professional
members may vote, attend all meetings and functions, and hold
any office or position in MiTiN.
Professional corporate/institutional member ($50 annual dues),
defined as a company/institution that supports the purposes
of MiTiN and generates revenues by selling language services
such as interpreting, translating, and/or teaching. The head
of the company or language department, or his/her designee
may vote, attend all meetings and functions, and hold any
office or position in MiTiN.
Please note that all applications are subject
to approval of the Board of Directors, and timely payment
of annual dues is required for continuing membership. ANNUAL
DUES FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR ARE PAYABLE EACH DECEMBER 1st.
MEMBERS ARE NOT INVOICED FOR ANNUAL DUES, SO PLEASE MARK YOUR
CALENDAR.
